ENG – She helps out migrants in need. He’s an inspector from the Department of Security. He’s looking for something in her office before opening times. He finds it just as she comes in.

What follows is not your usual interrogation. The frightening claws of bureaucracy get everywhere, and privacy loses all its meaning. It’s a disturbing game and language, too, plays its part in an unexpected twist. Nothing and no one must slip through the cracks of control.

I Still Recall That Quiet Night works on the idea of control and the continuous encroachment upon our privacy on the pretext of security. Born of an idea by Fabiana de Rose, this short film is the fruit of the partnership between Teatro Multilingue, Wonderwall Entertainment and San Genesio Officine Teatrali.

ITA – Un ufficio assistenza migranti prima dell’orario di apertura. Un ispettore del Dipartimento di Sicurezza cerca qualcosa. Proprio quando sembra averla trovata, entra l’impiegata che non si aspettava certo una tale visita.

Un normale interrogatorio? Non proprio. Gli infiniti artigli della burocrazia che non conosce privacy possono arrivare dappertutto, in un gioco inquietante in cui l’elemento linguistico offre un twist inaspettato. Nulla sfugge e non si può scappare.

I Still Recall That Quiet Night è una riflessione sul controllo e sulla continua violazione della privacy mascherata dal concetto di sicurezza. Nato da un’idea di Fabiana de Rose, il corto è il frutto della collaborazione fra Teatro Multilingue, Wonderwall Entertainment e San Genesio Officine Teatrali.
